Paul leads the BSP Advisory Group team in the Greater Wellington region and brings a diverse range of top-level business experience to his consultancy role.

Paul works with Business owners, to Build, Scale, Grow, Exit or simply gain better control over day to day business operations, providing a framework and a structured system for the achievement of an organisations business goals.

Paul is based just south of Otaki and has customers located across the greater Wellington and Horowhenua regions and is currently working with a broad range of businesses including General Contracting & Earth Moving, Forestry, Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction, Building, Roofing, IT and Cyber Security, Trades and Retail.

Paul has over 30 years of experience working at Senior and GM levels for companies such as Deloitte, NZ Forest Products, Elders IXL, Spark, and Farmers Mutual Group (FMG), where he held senior leadership positions in Sales, Marketing, Distribution, Strategy, HR management and Finance.

Paul has a comprehensive range of commercial skills which are demonstrated across a broad range of key business disciplines and industry sectors, including:

Paul is passionate about working with owners of small and medium businesses to improve business Leadership, performance, profitability, business value and team morale.

Along with the years of hands-on-experience, He has a Bachelor of Business Studies degree from Massey University, Is a Certified Business Advisor and a member of the Institute of Advisors. Paul also holds Certificates in Business Strategy, Strategy Execution and Sustainable Business Strategy from Harvard Business School online.

  1. Performance and Results โ€“ To use his expertise and business acumen to help increase the profits and general performance of the businesses that he works with. This is fundamental to what he offers as a Business Advisor.

Support and Confidence โ€“ this recognises that in the Small to Medium business community, Paul is dealing directly with both individuals and couples who at times are under a lot of stress and can feel isolated. As a small business owner himself, he understands and empathises with this and the development and support of the business owners/s is equally as important as development of the business.

  3. Education and Resources โ€“ As an individual advisor Paul is part of team that has a library of resources as well as various experts that all of our clients can access. We seek high quality service providers and strategic partners that we feel can enhance our own delivery and assist our clients. Paul is currently the Education Director for the Kapiti Coast BNI Chapter.

In his spare time Paul and his partner Sarah enjoy spending time with family and friends, motorcycling, horse riding and kontiki fishing.
